Mr. Juckett:

Dear Sir: I take the responsibility of informing you of your son Ashley's death.

Mrs. Juckett received a letter from the chaplain and one from one of his comrades that took care of him. He had the dropsy. He began a letter to someone, she thinks was you or his sister, but could not finish it and someone finished it for him.

Mrs. J. wants some of you to come out here as soon as you can.

She don't .know what to do. she is left very lonely with her three children and as she says among strangers.

If some of your family can come here to help make arrangements for she don't know what to do.

yours respectfully

Mrs. A. Farling.

by request of Mrs. Ashley Juckett.
