Potomac Creek Landing,

February 12, 1863

Dear Mother:

It is nearly a week since I have written to you so I suppose you are beginning to think it is time to hear from me again. Now you need not look for a very long letter as we are living in nothing but little shelter tents and it is not very convenient to writing.

We left camp last Saturday morning and came here to ship to Fortress Monroe, so they say.

We have learned nothing since however I think we will go in a few days.
You need not send that box if you haven't already done so.

I will try and write more as soon as we get where we are going.

so good bye for this time
A.J. Juckett

P .S.

Direct your letters as before ms I receive them quicker.

Feb. 13.

We expect to leave today.
